Working Together for the Future of Ehthlateese

This summer marked the beginning of a new term for the Ehthlateese Village Growth Working Group, bringing citizens together to help inform long-term planning for the village. The first meeting was held on June 23, followed by a second session on July 29, where additional citizens had the opportunity to join the Working Group and become members for the current term.

Planning for the future of Ehthlateese is most successful when it reflects the voices, experiences, and aspirations of the people who know the community best.

The Working Group provides a space for citizens to share ideas, ask questions, and contribute thoughtful feedback on topics that affect the future of the community. Discussions usually include housing, access, gathering spaces, cultural priorities, recreation, infrastructure, environmental stewardship, and other opportunities that support a thriving village.

While decisions remain the responsibility of UTG staff and Executive, the perspectives shared by Working Group members help inform planning and ensure future initiatives are grounded in community knowledge and lived experience.

Participation is about more than attending meetings. It is an opportunity to help shape the long-term vision for Ehthlateese and ensure future generations continue to benefit from a vibrant, connected, and culturally strong community within our ḥaḥuułi.
