Thunderbird Spirit Water bottle in scenic West coast setting on Vancouver Island

Thunderbird Spirit Water has officially reached shelves at Thrifty Foods locations across Vancouver Island.

For UTG, the milestone represents more than retail expansion.

It reflects years of work to grow an Indigenous-owned enterprise grounded in sustainability, cultural integrity, and pride in Uchucklesaht values and ḥaḥuułi.

The expansion creates visibility for a Nation-owned product while helping more households learn about the people and story behind the brand.

“Increased distribution strengthens our Nation’s economic development, creates future opportunities for youth, and supports long-term community wellbeing,” wrote Andrew Silver.

The next phase includes exploring additional markets and continuing to strengthen regional partnerships. Citizens can support this work by choosing Thunderbird Spirit Water when shopping locally and by sharing the story with family and friends.
