Celebrating the Next Generation
Every educational journey begins with a first step, whether it’s the first day of elementary school, the start of a trades program, or crossing the stage to receive a university degree.
On June 29, Uchucklesaht citizens, families, and staff gathered for the Annual Education Dinner to celebrate the achievements of students whose hard work, determination, and perseverance continue to inspire our community.
This year’s celebration recognized three post-secondary graduates:
- Levina Johnson, who graduated from the Jewelry Art & Design program at Vancouver Community College.
- Malachai Yeager-Rosario, who completed the Business Management and Tribal Governance program at Northwest Indian College.
- Maren Yeager, who earned a Master of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College.
The evening also celebrated two high school graduates, Sage George and Stetzen Amboh, both graduates of Yakima Nation Tribal School, as they prepare for the next chapter of their journeys.
This year’s scholarship program was the largest in Uchucklesaht’s history, reflecting the Nation’s ongoing commitment to supporting learners of all ages and recognizing excellence in many forms.

🌱 4 Grade 1 to 3 Scholarship Awards
The evening was more than a celebration of certificates and awards. It was a celebration of perseverance, growth, and the families, mentors, and community members who have encouraged these students along the way.
Congratulations to every graduate and scholarship recipient. Your achievements are a source of pride for the Nation, and we look forward to seeing where your learning and leadership take you next.
